Run Off Election
As no person received a majority of the votes for the position of president, a runoff election will be held on March 03, 2016 between the two candidates who polled the largest number of votes. The runoff election shall be by majority vote of the members in good standing participating in the manual secret ballot election. The election will be conducted at two polling sites (Canton, NC and Waynesville, NC) at the date, times, and locations listed below. Canton union members will vote at the Local 507 union hall and Waynesville union members will vote at the Waynesville Facility.

Absentee ballots are available to any members whose work will require the member to be more than fifty (50) miles away from the designated polling places during the time of the election and members who are prevented from appearing at the polls because of service in the armed forces or vacation may cast an absentee ballot. All requests for absentee ballots must be made in writing and received at least seven (7) days in advance of the runoff election (February 25, 2016) by the Election Supervisor Cassetta L. Elam. For this election, the normal USW protest procedures will not apply. Any member in good standing may protest the supervised election for valid cause; such protest should be made in writing, at any time before, during, or within 10 days after the election and addressed to Election Supervisor Cassetta L. Elam, OLMS Nashville Office, 233 Cumberland Bend Drive, Suite 110, Nashville, TN, 37228.
